TeamWWF Driver Ambassadors Ready for Kenyon Midget Series Action in Southern Indiana
By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator
The Kenyon Midget Series is back in action this weekend at Salem Speedway in Southern Indiana after its race at Owosso Speedway on Aug. 1 was canceled due to poor weather.
Houk (JK Racing), who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Monday, will look to build on his series lead Saturday in his debut at the track. He currently sits atop the standings with 1,255 points — 120 points ahead of Isaac Johnson, who is in second.

“I’m really excited to run there; I’ve been a few times coaching and working on setups for the other JK Racing cars in the past,” said Houk, who has finished all five races on the podium this year (two wins). “I’m excited to put that work to use behind the wheel.”
According to Ken de la Bastide of USAracing.com, the quarter-mile oval at Salem is similar to the ovals at the Indianapolis Speedrome and Sportsdrome, requiring the Midgets to hug the inside of the oval.
O’Gara (PFH Racing), a rookie of the year contender, is up for the challenge after a third-place finish at Anderson Speedway and a victory in only his second start at the Indianapolis Speedrome.
Hunter Peri holds a lead over Seth Tozer and Brayden Rutter for the Redline Ace Rookie of the Year honors.
After the Salem race this weekend, five races remain on the 2026 schedule. Drivers will head to Lincoln Park Speedway on Aug. 22, followed by an Aug. 28 race at Berlin Raceway.
