Another Double Podium Weekend for Aaron Jeansonne

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Remains Second in Standings with One Round Remaining

By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator

It was another double podium weekend for Aaron Jeansonne.

The TeamWWF Driver Ambassador scored a pair of second-place finishes at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Round 7 action of the Carrera Cup Championship.

Tyler Maxson (Topp Racing) won both races and remains first in the championship with 279 points. Jeansonne (Kellymoss) has 252 points and will need a strong final round to claim the top spot.

In Race 1 at Road Atlanta, Jeansonne made two passes at the end of the race to claim P2 after starting third. He ran P4 for most of the race.

“It was not a traditional (podium finish) like a lot of the other ones,” Jeansonne said. “We were going blind in a few corners with the sun coming down. It was an intense fight there at the end. We kept ourselves alive in the championship, so I am pretty proud of it.”

You can watch both race replays on the IMSA Official YouTube channel: YouTube.com/@imsaofficial/streams

The final Carrera Cup round is set for Oct. 23-25 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX.
