TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Captures Title With Kenyon Classic Victory

Ayrton Houk made the most of the season’s final race.
The TeamWWF Driver Ambassador took first place Saturday in the Don and Mel Kenyon Classic at Anderson Speedway, which earned him the series championship.
It is Houk’s second Kenyon Midget Series Championship but the first with his father, Kevin, who leads JK Racing.
The season’s longest race (75 laps) did not disappoint, as Houk won by .7 seconds for his first Kenyon Classic victory.
“This one is special,” Houk said. “Really happy to bring my dad his first Kenyon Midget Series Championship with his team.
“(I) would not be able to do what I love without the help of a lot of supporters. Special thanks to the Wings and Wheels Foundation, Little Red Door Cancer Agency, the Napa Network, and Advanced Racing Suspensions. It was a great season!”
The championship is quite an accomplishment, as the TeamWWF Driver Ambassador missed a race at Lincoln Park Speedway to make his IMSA debut with CSM Motorsport in Virginia.
It was a fantastic night for JK Racing overall as Houk’s teammate, Hunter Peri, earned the Redline Ace Rookie of the Year honor after a fourth-place finish.
“The Houks have become like family to me,” Peri told ussaracing.com. “I’m looking forward to next year.”
