Nathan Nicholson Back in Black and Yellow Livery for Navy 250

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Set to Make Final NASCAR Start of Season

By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator

Nathan Nicholson’s final NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race of the season will surely be one to remember. The TeamWWF Driver Ambassador will debut a black and yellow livery — like his livery when racing in the Mazda MX-5 Cup — in San Diego this Friday for a special race.

Named the Navy 250, the race will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy. It will take place on the Qualcomm Circuit, which is a 16-turn, 3.4-mile street course constructed aboard Naval Base Coronado. Nicholson (No. 75 Freedom Racing Enterprises) has already made two NASCAR Truck Series starts this year, both being road courses. He finished P20 in May at Watkins Glen, which was his second NASCAR start.

Nicholson said he is “super excited” to get after it in San Diego and be a part of a special weekend.

“Of course, I couldn’t be here without all the people helping support me, including (TeamWWF),” Nicholson said. “Make sure to follow along.”

How to Watch This Friday

Friday’s race will start at 7:00 p.m. (ET). You can watch the race on Fox Sports 1.

Mazda MX-5 Cup Notes

After two top 10 finishes at Mid-Ohio at the beginning of June, Nicholson is currently seventh overall in the Mazda MX-5 Cup standings.

The next MX-5 Cup race is scheduled for July 10-12 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.
