Nathan Nicholson to Make NASCAR Debut in 2026

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Taking Massive Step Forward in Craftsman Truck Series

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson had some exciting news to share on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Nicholson, 19, who is from Bloomington, Ind., announced that he will make his NASCAR debut in 2026 with Whelen Engineering and Freedom Racing Enterprises.
 
Nicholson will compete in select road course events (Craftsman Truck Series) in the No. 76 car for Freedom Racing Enterprises.
 
“I was looking to make the step up to NASCAR at the right time and with the right people, and when the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule was announced, I knew right away that the street courses presented a great opportunity for me,” Nicholson said. 
 
If you want to catch him in action, make sure to circle the following dates:
 
  • Feb. 28 St. Petersburg
  • May 8 Watkins Glen
  • June 19 San Diego
 

Mazda MX-5 Cup Season Opener

 
After finishing third in the Mazda MX-5 Cup standings last season, Nicholson is gearing up for another season in the series, which begins this week at Daytona International Speedway (Rounds 1-2).

Practice will take place on Wednesday, with qualifying and Race 1 set for Thursday. Race 2 will take place on Friday.
