Aaron Jeansonne Carrying Strong Momentum into Season Finale at COTA

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Leading Rookie Standings Entering Round 8

By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator

It all comes down to this.

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Aaron Jeansonne will be in action one final time with Porsche Carrera Cup North America this weekend at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, TX.

The Carrera Cup finale is part of the Formula 1 World Championship US Grand Prix weekend.

I couldn’t think of a better way to finish our season than with F1 at COTA,” Jeansonne said. “With the overall championship, Rookie championship, and Team championship all being close, the crowd can expect fireworks on track for our series. We are carrying a lot of momentum from the last few events, and I know we will finish strong here.

Jeansonne is entering Round 8 with strong momentum after earning his first win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Round 6) before a pair of runner-up finishes at Road Atlanta (Round 7). He earned the Race Brew Pole Award in Indy and Atlanta and is aiming for a third-straight this weekend.

Another strong qualifying result could help him finish atop the Rookie standings. Jeansonne currently holds an 11-point lead over fellow series rookie Tyler Maxson. A Rookie of the Year title would be the icing on the cake for Jeansonne, who has shown steady progress throughout the year.

In the Pro standings, Jeansonne is fourth overall (196 points). His Kellymoss teammate, Riley Dickinson (260 points), holds a slight lead over Ryan Yardley (258 points). Zachary Vanier sits in third (216 points).

The Team standings are tight as well, with Topp Racing (Yardley, Maxson) leading Kellymoss, 292-283.
