Danny O’Gara Secures Double Podium at Virginia International Raceway

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Third Overall in Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series Championship

By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Danny O’Gara had an outstanding showing this week at Virginia International Raceway with the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series (Rounds 4-6).

The young and determined driver earned a double podium, finishing P3 in Race 1 before winning Race 2. Race 3 was canceled due to inclement weather.

We couldn’t be more proud of this kid,” said the PFH Racing team. “That’s five wins on the year for PFH Racing. Let’s keep it rolling.

Both races were extremely competitive. O’Gara was .568 seconds behind first in Race 1 and won Race 2 by .040 seconds.

After VIR’s points were tallied, O’Gara is third overall in the championship standings with 151 points. John Antonino (167 points) and Indy Andersen (159 points) are first and second in the championship, respectively. Andersen won the first race at VIR.

Although it has been busy, O’Gara’s week is not finished. On Friday, he is set to throw out the first pitch at the Indianapolis Indians game, according to PFH Racing. On Saturday, he will race at the Indianapolis Speedrome — home of the world-famous figure 8 — with the Kenyon Midgets Series. It will be a 50-lap feature.

“A lot of racing, a lot of development,” said PFH Racing.

Note: The next Lucas Oil Formula Car race is scheduled for Aug. 12-13 at NCM Motorsports Park in Kentucky (Rounds 7-9).
