Q&A with TeamWWF USF Pro 2000 Driver Elliot Cox

As we wrap up the 2025 racing season, TeamWWF driver Elliot Cox takes a few questions and offers insight into what it takes to be a racing champion.

What inspired you to become a driver? How did you get your start in racing?

I wanted to become a racecar driver from the moment I watched the movie Cars. My grandpap bought me my first go-kart.

What are your long-term goals in racing?

My long-term goal is to be an Indy 500 champ.

How do you handle setbacks or failures in a race?

Maintaining mental health and toughness.

What is the most challenging aspect of being a driver?

The mental aspect, as well as the money.

What is one quality or skill you believe is important to have as a driver?

I believe it’s important to maintain both physical and mental fitness.

Nathan Nicholson to Make NASCAR Truck Series Debut in St. Pete

It will be an extremely busy — and hopefully sunny — weekend for TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson. In addition to competing in Rounds 3-4 of the Mazda MX-5 Cup, Nicholson will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut this weekend on the Streets of St. Petersburg. It will be the first-ever street race for the series in over 30 years of competition.

Trey Burke to Race in Inaugural IHRA Stock Car Series Championship

Burke on Wednesday announced his signing with Ross Dalton Racing in anticipation for the inaugural IHRA Stock Car Series Championship. The series will run at IHRA partner facilities from the Southeast to the Midwest. Racers will compete for their portion of the $2,000,000 purse, along with series-specific awards and elevated championship opportunities as the program grows.
