Happy Birthday America

250 Laps Around the Track

God bless America! On July 4th, the United States of America joyfully celebrates its remarkable 250th birthday, a significant milestone that represents over two and a half centuries of history, culture, and progress.

The United States is observing its Semiquincentennial, a massive nationwide milestone marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This monumental anniversary honors America’s enduring resilience, innovations, and rich cultural tapestry.

The Wings and Wheels Foundation is proud to be part of that tapestry.

Celebrating America's Passion for Speed

Auto racing has long been linked with patriotism in the U.S. because races often include the national anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, military tributes, American flags, and patriotic paint schemes, allowing fans and teams to express national pride visibly.

Why We Connect

Racing, by its very nature, lends itself to big, theatrical displays that capture audiences’ attention and enhance the sport’s overall spectacle. Organizers have long recognized this opportunity and often used these dramatic elements to emphasize a distinctly “American” identity while showcasing unwavering support for traditional American values.

This deep-seated sense of patriotism has gradually woven itself into the very fabric of the sport’s brand and fan culture. Alongside elements of Southern tradition and rural identity, this blend of loyalty and cultural heritage has become a cornerstone of what it means to be a race fan, fostering a unique and vibrant community that celebrates both speed and national pride.

Representing America on the Track

The Wings and Wheels Foundation proudly supports America and its talented drivers as we enthusiastically celebrate our nation’s remarkable 250th anniversary. This milestone is not just a point in our history; it’s a unique opportunity for all of us to honor the dedication, resilience, and passion that defines our nation’s journey over the years.

The 2026 racing season is shaping up to be incredibly exciting on so many levels, filled with thrilling events and spectacular showcases of skill. TeamWWF currently supports eight exceptional drivers across a variety of racing venues, working diligently to bridge the financial gap that often exists between raw driving talent and the extremely high costs associated with advancing in the highly competitive world of motorsports. This support is especially crucial for young, emerging drivers who are striving to make their mark in the industry. We are dedicated to nurturing their talents and helping them pursue their dreams, ultimately ensuring a vibrant future for motorsports in America.

Identifying Promising American Drivers

TeamWWF (the foundation’s racing program identity) deliberately seeks out young, talented drivers from diverse backgrounds across various U.S. grassroots and development series. This initiative is designed to identify and nurture the next generation of motorsport talent.

A panel of highly acclaimed drivers and industry professionals, who possess a wealth of experience and insight, carefully selects the recipients based not only on lap speed but also on essential traits such as sportsmanship, a positive and resilient attitude, and a competitive personality. These criteria ensure that the chosen individuals not only excel on the track but also embody the values of the racing community.
