TeamWWF Driver Ambassador to Drive No. 76 Truck at North Wilkesboro
By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator
Nathan Nicholson will add to his already impressive resume this weekend in North Wilkesboro, NC.

The TeamWWF Driver Ambassador is set to make his NASCAR oval debut in the No. 76 Truck (Freedom Racing Enterprises) at North Wilkesboro Speedway as part of the Craftsman Truck Series.
The FaithFest 250 Presented by Mercer Transportation is scheduled for Saturday at 12:30 p.m. on FS1. Live streaming will be available on the Fox Sports app.
Practice and qualifying will take place on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. Both can be viewed on FS2.
The race will be the 15th points-paying event of the 2026 Truck Series campaign. Chandler Smith is the defending North Wilkesboro winner.
Thirty-eight trucks are entered into this weekend’s event. View the entry list here. NASCAR.com/news-media/2026/07/13/2026-nascar-craftsman-truck-series-entry-list-for-north-wilkesboro-speedway/.
Nicholson, who is also racing in the Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship this year, has made three truck series starts this year — all on road courses.
His last NASCAR start in June came at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego (Navy 250). He also raced at St. Pete in February and at Watkins Glen in May.
After the Navy 250, Nicholson had this to say:
“So close… we raced our way into the top 5 and spent most of the second half of the race running inside the top 10. With just a handful of laps to go, I got collected while trying to avoid someone else’s wreck. One more foot and we would have brought it home.

I am incredibly proud of the Freedom Racing Enterprises crew for what we accomplished this weekend and equally heartbroken that we didn’t get the result we deserved.”

Mazda MX-5 Cup
Nicholson competed in Rounds 7-8 of the Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship this past weekend in Ontario, Canada.
At Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Nicholson finished P24 in Race 1 before bouncing back with a P7 finish in Race 2. He started both races in P2.
Nicholson was No. 7 in the championship standings prior to the weekend but moved one spot to No. 6 after points were calculated from the CTMP races.
Justin Adakonis leads the championship with 2,110 points as six rounds remain (three tracks).
Nicholson has 1,430 points — 10 points behind Ethan Jacobs, who is fifth in the standings.
MX-5 Cup drivers will return to the track August 21-23 for Rounds 9-10 at Virginia International Raceway.
Nicholson, a Bloomington, IN native, will get a chance to race in his home state in September for Rounds 11-12 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The championship will conclude at Road Atlanta at the end of September.
