Nathan Nicholson to Make NASCAR Debut in 2026

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson had some exciting news to share on Wednesday afternoon. Nicholson, 19, who is from Bloomington, Ind., announced that he will make his NASCAR debut in 2026 with Whelen Engineering and Freedom Racing Enterprises. Nicholson will compete in select road course events (Craftsman Truck Series) in the No. 76 car for Freedom Racing Enterprises.

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson second in MX-5 Cup standings with two rounds remaining

Finally, There is Light at the End of the Tunnel. After a long and entertaining Mazda MX-5 Cup season, only two rounds remain.

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson (No. 56 Advanced Autosports) is gearing up for the final stop of the championship, which is set for Oct. 8-10 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Nicholson, who finished P6 and P7 this past weekend at Virginia International Raceway, is second in the overall standings — 50 points behind championship leader Jeremy Fletcher.

‘It is definitely showing that our hard work is paying off’ — TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson and fellow Mazda MX-5 Cup racing drivers will compete in Ontario, Canada this weekend for Rounds 9-10 of the championship. Although each round is important, this one holds a little more weight for Nicholson as he sits atop the standings with 2,080 points — 20 points ahead of second and 140 points ahead of third. With only four rounds left (Virginia, Road Atlanta) after racing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend, each race is extremely important as drivers look to collect as many points as possible.
