Trey Burke Gearing Up for Final CARS Tour Race

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Wrapping Up Impressive Season

By Kris Mills, Social Media Coordinator

TeamWWF Driver Ambassador Trey Burke will compete in his final CARS Tour race of the season Saturday at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina.

This will be Burke’s fifth race with the tour, as he started the year racing at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina (Limited Late Model). As a rookie, he was second in the standings (limited sportsman division) at Hickory before making the move.

I’m super happy to be finishing a great season so far with Hettinger Racing in the final CARS Tour race of the year,” Burke said. “Everyone here on the team has been really great in getting me up to speed and comfortable in my first full year in a Late Model.

“I just want to give a big thanks to everyone on the team, as well as all our sponsors in helping make this happen -- Wings & Wheels Foundation, Kneedragger, and Texas Micro Optics.”

Trey finished P10 in a very competitive field in his last race on Oct. 4 at Tri-County Speedway after what he called a “poor qualifying performance.” On lap 2 of 100, he was caught in a wreck and had severe front-end damage.

Everyone on the No. 4 car was amazing in getting me in and out of the pits multiple times to keep moving forward,” Burke said.

He finished P8 in his first two races with the tour and earned the Field Master Award from FloRacing for passing the most cars (16) in his debut race.

Make sure to catch Burke and the Hettinger Racing team in action Saturday in the season finale. You can watch at floracing.com.
