Nicholson excited to test this week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Hear from our Driver Ambassador Nathan Nicholson, a Bloomington, Ind. native who is testing this week at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Nicholson and other Mazda MX-5 Cup drivers will race at IMS in September.

Good morning. Today is a pretty special day. I am driving at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

I’ve been coming here, I went on a school field trip in first grade, and have been watching the INDY 500 since 2014 here in person, so it’s gonna be pretty special to get to drive around the track and see all the spots that I’ve watched people race from at this track.

So, probably the most excited I’ve been to drive a track in a very, very long time. The feeling is very hard to describe, that I’ve been coming here at such a normal place for me to be at, and now I’m on the other side of it, the side that I’m used to.

So, I’m very, very excited for this opportunity, and super excited to race here in September. So looking forward to getting on track today.
