Houk Claims Second Kenyon Midget Series Championship

The TeamWWF Driver Ambassador took first place Saturday in the Don and Mel Kenyon Classic at Anderson Speedway, which earned him the series championship. It is Houk’s second Kenyon Midget Series Championship but the first with his father, Kevin, who leads JK Racing. The season’s longest race (75 laps) did not disappoint, as Houk won by .7 seconds for his first Kenyon Classic victory.

The race is equivalent to the Daytona 500 for Late Model Stock competitors, according to NASCAR.com. The winner will take home a prestigious grandfather clock. The event has grown in popularity since 1995 and attracts the best Late Model Stock drivers in the Southeast.
