Q&A with TeamWWF Porsche Carrera Cup Driver Aaron Jeansonne
As we wrap up the 2025 racing season, TeamWWF driver Aaron Jeansonne takes a few questions, offering insight into what it takes to be a racing champion.
What inspired you to become a driver? How did you get your start in racing?
I was a big NASCAR fan growing up and always admired Jeff Gordon. I got my start in racing in dirt oval karts when I was 16 in central Louisiana.
What are your long-term goals in racing?
I want to climb to the top of the sports car ladder and make a career running the biggest events in the world. I also want racing to be my life after my driving days are finished.
How do you handle setbacks or failures in a race?
I just try to stay in the moment and look forward to the rest of the race or the next race. Setbacks and failures will always occur, but you must set them aside until it is time to review them.
What is the most challenging aspect of being a driver?
That is hard to answer being being a driver is different for everyone. For me, it’s about trying to balance all the things it takes to even be in the car with the preparation and time it takes to be good and improve in the car.
What is one quality or skill you believe is important to have as a driver?
Racing has numerous variables, and in most cases, you typically face 20-30 opponents instead of just one. I think the most important quality for a driver is the ability to handle adversity.
Why TeamWWF? How has this foundation impacted your career?
The foundation has done so much for my career. I have worked very hard off track to keep my career alive, but that wouldn’t be enough without the support of so many. The relationships I have formed through the foundation and the career opportunities are invaluable, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for me through this program.
